Feeding:
Water -
You can use a water dish. You must have clean, fresh water at all times for the hedgehog. Do not use a water bottle, as they can cut their tongues on these.
Food -
You should use a food dish that is 3-6 inches, and heavy enough that the hedgehog can't tip it over.
Hedgehogs eat a mixture of good dry kitten food (see our
Accessories page). They also eat insects as a treat. You can give them mealworms
and crickets (live or freeze-dried), a couple/day or every other day. They can also eat fruits and vegetables, or even baby food.
Most hedgehogs love scrambled eggs. All of these items should only be provided as treats, with the main portion of their diet consisting
of dry kitten food.
